Sleepy Girl Mocktail

A recipe you should try when you're ready to wind down


Try this recipe: ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ


Fill a glass of your choosing with ice.


(I love my round ice cube tray)


Next, pour in the ยฝ cup of cherry juice or more if you like.


(Tart cherry juice contains melatonin, a natural sleep hormone. When additional melatonin is introduced, studies show it combines with the melatonin already in our body to help us fall asleep faster.)


Add 1 tablespoon of magnesium powder to the liquid and stir well.


(Magnesium is a mineral of many purposes. It calms the body by controlling the stress hormone cortisol and promoting the sleep hormone melatonin. Use magnesium glycinate - not magnesium citrate.)


Add prebiotic soda to your liking.


(The prebiotic soda is mostly for taste, but it never hurts to get in some prebiotics, which promote beneficial bacteria in the gut. Make sure whichever one you are using that it does not contain caffeine.)


Add a cherry for garnish and enjoy!
